Where Learning Meets Belonging
More Than just a Homeschool Co-op
Kinfolk Homeschool Cooperative was created to give Black homeschooling families a place to truly belong.
Founded by a Black homeschooling mom in Baltimore, Maryland, Kinfolk began with a simple desire: to create the kind of community where our own children could see themselves reflected, build meaningful friendships, and grow alongside families who share and celebrate their cultural heritage.
Our families gather each week to learn, create, and grow together through Black history, STEM, art, nature studies, hands-on projects, entrepreneurship, field trips, and meaningful community experiences that ignite curiosity and connection.
Every family helps shape our community. Parents serve as teachers, mentors, volunteers, and supporters, creating a rich learning environment where everyone's gifts and contributions are valued.
More than a co-op, we're a village committed to helping our children feel seen, supported, and celebrated, all while making memories, building lasting friendships, and having plenty of fun along the way.
Enriched Learning
Fun, hands-on classes taught by talented parents and community members who bring their unique passions and expertise to the classroom.
A Warm Community
Our students form lasting friendships while parents find encouragement, support, and a village that understands the homeschool journey.
Cultural pride
We intentionally create opportunities for children to explore real history, culture, creativity, and Black excellence throughout the school year.
